Police officers across the United States have been given a handbook on how to deal with reports of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). The first guide about UAPs was published by the Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA), which represents police executives from the leading cities in the U.S. and Canada.
The handbook describes numerous previous encounters and how officers can report such incidents.
The MCCA has almost 80 executives from major U.S. cities who work together to promote public safety through a variety of initiatives, along with community outreach, research and policy development.
In the MCCA’s recently published 11-page guide, the organization said UAPs detected in U.S. airspace represent a “domain awareness gap” that poses a “clear and present danger to pilots and our soldiers that is more acute than ever.” (Related: Intelligence report highlights possible threats from UFOs, Senate requires agencies to provide UFO-related data to UAPTF.)
The document also warned that UFOs “pose significant safety risks to law enforcement air support units,” urging teams to be vigilant when in helicopters.
It mentions reports by various government agencies, such as the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, determining that such phenomena are also a “clear threat to national security, since their capabilities and origins are unknown.”
The guide, released in June, also includes details from America’s investigations into UFO encounters, along with the testimony of whistleblowers like former U.S. Air Force officer and intelligence official David Grusch.
One article shared the U.S. Congress UAP hearing held in 2023, which saw Grusch testify concerning his knowledge about aircraft with “nonhuman” origins.
Grusch, in one congressional hearing on UAPs, claimed he had interviewed multiple Department of Defense officials with first-hand knowledge of aircraft that were of “nonhuman” origin, who reported that so-called “biologics” were retrieved from some of the craft.
The document also recalled the testimonies of U.S. Navy pilots Ryan Graves and David Fravor, who detailed encountering UAPs on training missions. The report presented other articles about the U.S. government and its possible connection to alien life.
Making it more interesting is the fact the pages recount first-person stories from police officers who encountered unknown spacecraft while on the field.
The report also features stories from officers who claimed to encounter UFOs, particularly one in 2023 where a law enforcer saw a “triangle craft with green lights gliding through the sky” before a local resident said something “ran” nearby.
An officer reportedly claimed that he had once witnessed a triangular UFO in the sky with three dim green lights while driving in his patrol vehicle.
He emphasized that he was aware of what helicopters and airplanes looked like in the sky, and that what he saw was “unlike anything I had ever witnessed.”
Within an hour after the encounter, the officer claimed to have replied to a call from a homeowner in the area that reported “something running outside of his home” which “did not sound like an animal.”
Another police officer who was patrolling Blairsville, Georgia, in November 2023 claimed to have seen green lights in the sky.
“I am a police officer and deputy sheriff. While on duty after dark, near the top of my windshield (frame of view) I witnessed movement in the sky (southbound direction of view),” the officer’s report said. “Upon concentrating my focus, viewing through the low light, I was able to make out a triangle craft, with three dim green lights per side (just bright enough to assess size, shape and movement).”
The officer said he lost sight of the craft instantly because of the trees and was unable to hear anything due to being inside his vehicle.
Another encounter occurred in Harper Woods, Michigan, in 2020, which involved two officers who witnessed three mysterious objects in the sky before they “blinked out” of existence.
Other reports in the guide narrate civilian sightings of police helicopters allegedly pursuing UFOs.
