There are many aspects of the recently agreed upon deal between the United States and Mexico that have not been reported by the so-called “mainstream media,” and that’s because it serves as the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party, which wants “open borders” and no enforcement of our immigration statutes.
But if you’re tired of seeing people violate our laws with impunity and then get rewarded with all manner of benefits paid for by you, the beleaguered American taxpayer, take heart: The aforementioned deal has some provisions in it that you’re going to love.
For example, there will be far less “catch-and-release” inside the United States when illegals are caught on our side of the border. Instead, there will be much more “catch-and-release” inside Mexico, which will then deal with migrants as it sees fit.
“Those crossing the U.S. southern border to seek asylum will be rapidly returned to Mexico where they may await their adjudication of their asylum claims. We’ve seen this before. We were able to do this to the tune of a couple of hundred people per day [before the deal],” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said earlier this week as the deal was finalized, Breitbart News reported.
“We now have the capacity to do this full throttle and engage this in a way that will make a fundamental difference in the calculus for those [migrants] deciding to transit Mexico to try to get into the United States,” he continued.
“This full-blown effort under the Migration Protocols [Remain in Mexico] is a big deal and was something that we worked on very, very diligently with our Mexican counterparts over two days. And we will pursue other cooperative efforts too,” Pompeo added.
As reported by The National Sentinel, Pompeo lauded POTUS Donald Trump over the deal, noting he was instrumental in ensuring that it got done.
The deal “frankly reflects diplomacy at its finest,” Pompeo said. “It shows the enduring relationship, too, of the relationship of our two countries and it’s a significant win for the American people.”
He also noted that the deal represents a promise kept by the president.
“The deal continues the Trump administration’s commitment, the strongest by any administration in history, to confront the tide of illegal immigration and many other problems along our southern border, including the drug trafficking issue,” the State Department chief continued.
“The president is doing precisely what he said he would do,” Pompeo said, outlining some of what was agreed to, which includes:
— The deployment of Mexican National Guard troops — reportedly as many as 6,000 — to the country’s southern border with Guatemala, to head off migrant caravans before they cross into Mexico;
— Returning aliens who claim asylum to Mexico immediately, as stated above;
— Additional “unprecedented steps to increase enforcement to curb irregular migration,” according to the Joint Declaration itself;
— “Mexico is also taking decision action to dismantle human smuggling and trafficking organizations as well as their illicit financial and transportation networks,” the Joint Declaration said;
— The two countries will boost “bilateral cooperation” that includes sharing of information and coordinating actions in order to secure their “common border.”
For their part, Mexican officials said they were pleased with the outcome of the deal, all the details of which have yet to be fully released by the White House or the Mexican government. “We take advantage of being here in Tijuana to say to the people of the United States once more that we do not harbor any intention nor will we harbor any intention to harm them, and we are resolved to collaborate with them in all areas, especially on the concern spurred by the growth of the migratory flow to their country,” said Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador at a rally in Tijuana last week.
