The brother of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has ostensibly confirmed that she will launch a coup against former President Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention in July.
Mitti Randhawa initially posted on X a picture of himself and his sister on May 19 with the caption: “The support is real. Nikky Haley for president. Milwaukee, here we come.” The mention of Cream City referenced the GOP National Convention, which is set to happen there from July 15 to 18.
This led conservative activist and journalist Laura Loomer to ask: “Is [Haley] planning a coup against Trump at the convention?” Randhawa responded in the affirmative, replying: “Yup, it’s happening. Deal with it.”
Randhawa, a strategic market director with drug company Johnson & Johnson, also responded to other posts critical of his sister. “Did she lose? It’s not over until it’s over,” he replied to user @americasgreat. The user slammed Haley as a “sore, vindictive loser” for her attempted coup against Trump, comparing her to “the ex that can’t let go.”
According to a February report by Business Insider, Haley was born Nimarata Nikki Randhawa to her parents Ajit Singh Randhawa and Raj Kaur Randhawa. The two were immigrants from the northwestern Indian state of Punjab who later became teachers when they arrived in the United States. Haley has three siblings – brothers Mitti and Charan, and sister Simran.
She married Michael Haley, a major in the South Carolina Army National Guard, in September 1996. Upon marriage, she quit using the name Nimarata Randhawa. Instead, she used Nikki – her middle name – as her first name and adopted her husband’s surname.
“Either the man is a massive troll, or he’s doubling and tripling down,” En-Volve noted. “We will find out soon enough what Haley does at the [GOP National] Convention.”
Meanwhile, WLT Report broke the news of Haley’s potential coup at the GOP National Convention in July. Sources cited by the website made mention of the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations “looking to get back into the race and potentially [challenging] Trump.”
Other reports cited a potential ticket with Haley as president and former National Security Advisor John Bolton. Aside from both serving as U.S. ambassadors to the UN, Haley and Bolton reportedly harbor pro-war, neoconservative views. According to WLT Report, such a ticket “makes perfect sense.”
“Just call it the RINO [Republicans In Name Only] Warmonger Ticket,” the outlet said. “Other than exhuming [the late U.S. Sen.] John McCain (R-AZ) from the cold, dead ground, you couldn’t get two better candidates.”
The outlet also shared Haley’s interview with MSNBC, which touched on the pledge she signed with the Republican National Committee (RNC). Under this pledge, the former South Carolina governor would support the eventual Republican presidential nominee – in this case Trump, her former boss.
But Haley reiterated that she just lied about the pledge at the time so that she could get on the presidential debate stage. She also mentioned that she has no plans to honor the pledge, a revelation “even MSNBC seemed taken aback” with. (Related: Nikki Haley drops out of presidential race, refuses to endorse Trump, violating her own pledge.)
“I don’t think she has a snowball’s chance in hell of winning the primary. [We] do not need the warmongering [neoconservative] RINO anywhere near our government,” WLT Report concluded.
