Geopolitical bomb-throwing

In recent days, the Obama State Department—led by the hapless and one-time presidential loser John Kerry—once again put Israel at risk by abstaining from a vote at the United Nations Security Council condemning the Jewish state’s inherent right to expand settlements in its own territory. Rather than use its veto power, Obama directed Kerry to cast no vote at all, allowing the measure to sail on to a 14-0 approval. It was the first time the U.S. government has ever allowed a vote to occur condemning our key (and really only true) ally in the Middle East.

As if that weren’t enough, Kerry then delivered a speech in which he actually said Israel has a choice: It can either be democratic (as defined by the Obama administration, not by the Israeli people) or it can be Jewish, but not both. That’s like Israel saying the U.S. cannot be democratic and Christian at the same time, which is, of course, preposterous.

That’s not all.

You’ve no doubt heard the narrative that “Russia hacked the election” to favor Trump. Months before his stunning upset of two-time presidential loser Hillary Clinton, the Obama administration began creating the narrative that Russian operatives were attempting to hack into U.S. election systems. As Cyberwar.news reported:

The FBI described the threat as “credible” as well as significant, “an eight on a scale of one to 10,” according to Matt Roberts, a spokesman for Arizona Secretary of State Michele Reagan (R), said last week. As a result of the hack, Reagan ordered the state’s voter registration system shut down for nearly a week.

The Obama administration even offered to help states protect their systems, but states declined the offer, perhaps because they didn’t believe the threat existed. Ironically, one of the declining states was Georgia, whose secretary of state claimed after the Nov. 8 election that state systems were electronically tampered with…by computers whose addresses led back to the Department of Homeland Security, reported Glitch.news.

So the die was cast well before the Obama White House—aided, as usual, by the ‘mainstream’ media—began spreading its phony Russia story, likely to further discredit Trump and de-legitimize his victory. Worse, Obama has now sanctioned Russia for its non-existent ‘interference,’ leaving the Trump White House to deal with a major world power right off the bat.

Domestically, Obama is also causing havoc

In addition to leaving problems for Trump to fix around the world, Obama is also filling his remaining days in office setting domestic political traps for the Trump administration. Consider:

— The administration is rushing to import and resettle as many refugees as possible from war-torn regions of the Middle East—areas rife with terrorist organizations. As The Daily Caller reports, the administration is “resettling significantly more refugees” in the final weeks of 2016 than the previous year, regardless of what states think or say. The goal, of course, is to put Trump on the hot seat when he attempts to make good on his promise to “ban Muslim immigration” until such time as the U.S. government can adequately vet potential new arrivals from parts of the world whose people are culturally at odds with Western democratic principles.

— In recent days, Obama huddled on Capitol Hill with congressional Democrats in an attempt to develop a strategy to block repeal of Obamacare. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced in December Senate Republicans’ first goal was to repeal the law that has put such a massive financial burden on tens of millions of Americans in the form of higher monthly premiums, higher deductibles and less access to affordable care.

— Obama issued an executive order declaring a massive swath of Utah and Nevada as two new federal reserves, thereby preventing those lands from being mined for natural resources. He also signed an order banning oil exploration in parts of the Artic and Atlantic Oceans.

— He granted clemency to hundreds of dangerous criminals, including drug dealers who targeted kids.

The outgoing president has also made clear he plans to stay in Washington, D.C.—ostensibly to allow his youngest daughter to finish high school (highly irregular, considering all other ex-presidents in recent memory left the nation’s capital far behind as soon as their terms expired). But what he will also do is carp at and snipe the Trump administration every chance he gets, especially when Trump and his team begin to dismantle much of the damage Obama “legacy.”

The USS Mahan tried to order the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard boats to stop via bridge-to-bridge radio communication, but the vessels didn’t respond to the request, prompting the destroyer to fire three warning shots with a .50 caliber machine gun Sunday morning, a U.S. defense official said. After the shots were fired, the Iranian boats stopped the approach, Cmdr. Bill Urban, spokesman for U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, told Fox News.

The Iranian vessels sailed within 890 yards of the Mahan, which had been escorting two U.S. Navy warships. Those two ships were the USS Makin Island, a large deck amphibious assault ship with 1,000 U.S. Marines, dozens of helicopters and Marine Harrier jets aboard, and a U.S. Navy oiler.

In addition to the machine gun warning shots, a Navy helicopter dropped a smoke float. The only communication between the Iranian vessels and the U.S. warships was one Iranian boat asking for the “hull number” of the U.S. Navy vessels.

In recent days Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps has conducted an annual exercise in the strait simulating maneuvers necessary to shut down the entrance to the Persian Gulf via “swarm” tactics — deploying a large number of small armed vessels. The simulations are “ongoing,” a U.S. defense official tells Fox News.

Sunday’s incident was only the most recent Iranian provocation of U.S. ships or aircraft in the region. Among the notable incidents:

– In late November, an Iranian small boat in the Strait of Hormuz trained a machine gun on a U.S. Navy helicopter.

– U.S. warships have been targeted by rebels in Yemen who are being supplied and supported by Iran.

– In September, Iran threatened to shoot down Navy aircraft it said was encroaching on its airspace.

– In early September, seven Iranian boats harassed a U.S. Navy ship in the Persian Gulf.

The U.S. military noted Iran harassed U.S. Navy warships through “unprofessional” interactions at least 35 times in 2016, a jump of more than 50 percent from the previous year, a U.S. official told Fox News.

In September, Present-elect Donald Trump said any Iranian vessels that harassed U.S. Navy warships would be “shot out of the water.”

Fox News recently flew out to the USS George H. W. Bush to see her final work ups in the Atlantic before deploying. The commanding officer of the ship said Iran’s behavior in the past year amounted to “school yard antics.”

There are currently no U.S. aircraft carriers deployed in the Middle East after the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower returned to Norfolk and the USS George H. W. Bush had its deployment delayed.

There is, however, a U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship with helicopters, jets and more than 1,000 marines in the region.

The latest laughable attempt at creating a Russian boogeyman to scare all the little leftist snowflake children has arrived in the form of a US intel report released Friday. Titled, “Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections,” the report is so laughably devoid of a single shred of credible evidence that actual journalists all across the world are rolling on the floor with hysterical laughter.

In another tweet, Greenwald followed up with, “It’s shocking how much this report was hyped and how literally no effort was made to include *any* evidence at all.”

In response, left-wing trolls on Twitter accused Greenwald himself of “working for the Russians.” (That’s now the excuse the everything the left doesn’t like. Must be the Russians!)

A circle jerk of rehashed left-wing paranoia

In essence, a tiny number of Obama puppets inside the CIA and FBI just “made s##t up” and then tried to pass it off as legitimate intelligence. The laughably hysterical document — widely and blindly repeated everywhere in the obedient but mindless left-wing media — is nothing more than a circle jerk rehash of delusional conspiracy theories.

Notably, there isn’t a single piece of actual evidence found in the entire report.

The report spends much of its time covering RT, a media organization funded by the Kremlin: “RT’s coverage of Secretary Clinton throughout the US presidential campaign was consistently negative and focused on her leaked e-mails and accused her of corruption, poor physical and mental health, and ties to Islamic extremism,” says the report.

In other words, anyone who was critical of Hillary Clinton was obviously working with the Russians, right? Never mind that she was an unlikable, deeply corrupt, criminal-minded mob boss with an obvious neurological disorder who pre-sold the White House to foreign interests.

It gets even better. The report also implies that environmentalists and opponents of fracking are working for the Russians, too. (Yes, I know. It’s just beyond hilarious.)

Noooooo! Say it isn’t so! You mean to tell me that people who are concerned about the environmental impact of fracking are really working for the Russians? For the record, that’s about 90% of all leftists, by the way. Apparently, not only are all the people on the right working for the Russians (because they hate Hillary), but also all the people on the left are working for the Russians, too (because they hate fracking).

According to the CIA, then, everyone is working for the Russians. Except, not Hillary Clinton, we’re told, even though she was the U.S. Secretary of State who approved the Russian takeover of U.S. strategic uranium mines… a convenient fact the lying left-wing media refuses to report.

A Tour de Farce of intelligence bullsh#ttery

If you can stop laughing, consider the fact that the left-wing media takes this bogus intelligence report as “fact” even though it is completely devoid of any evidence. The entire thing is nothing more than Obama sycophants ginning up scary bedtime stories to tell each other, then labeling it all “intelligence.”

In truth, there’s no intelligence to be found in the report at all. It’s so devoid of facts, evidence and sources — but rife with opinions, conclusions and “analysis” of opinions — that the whole thing should probably be renamed Tour de Farce: The CIA’s Drug-Induced Assessment of Make-Believe Threats to the Kingdom of F##ktardia.

In conclusion, the report wildly discredits the CIA, FBI and NSA with its cringe-worthy (and obviously politically biased) “analysis” that reads more like twisted, drug-induced paranoid delusions than meaningful intelligence. The very first thing President Trump should do after being sworn in, obviously, is to drain the swamp at the CIA and remove every single analyst churning out this paranoid hogwash.

But now, a Eurasian group is warning that there is more political volatility around the world as we enter 2017 than their has been since World War II, meaning the risk for great power conflict is higher now as well.

As reported by Bloomberg, there are several regions, relationships and potential scenarios to watch this coming year:

U.S. unilateralism under Donald Trump, China’s growing assertiveness and a weakened German Chancellor Angela Merkel will make 2017 the “most volatile” year for political risk since World War II, according to Eurasia Group.

“In 2017 we enter a period of geopolitical recession,” the New York-based company said in its annual outlook. International war or “the breakdown of major central government institutions” isn’t inevitable, though “such an outcome is now thinkable.”

With Trump’s ascent to the presidency on an America First platform, the global economy can’t count on the U.S. to provide “guardrails” anymore, according to Eurasia, which advises investors on political risk. Trump’s signals of a thaw with Russia, skepticism toward the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and his “alignment” with European anti-establishment parties such as France’s National Front could weaken the main postwar alliance protecting the global order, according to the report released Tuesday.

There has been more than enough scaremongering by the mainstream media over Trump’s “surprise” win, and this piece is no different. The establishment press appears to be trying to convince Americans (and the world) that though Trump has yet to officially serve a single moment in office, when he does get inaugurated, the world will immediately go to hell in a hand basket.

It’s the Left’s latest political strategy designed to undermine and undercut his presidency.

There is also this: The state of volatility on the global stage is already the fault of the United States, largely–and Trump has no fingerprints whatsoever on any of it.

Just taking China as one example, Beijing has been aggressively expanding its presence throughout the Asia-Pacific region, even to the point of putting defensive weapons on man-made islands in waters it claims hundreds of miles outside its internationally-recognized economic exclusion zone. The fact that the Obama administration has largely balked at pushing back against this aggression may appear as though the outgoing administration was just trying to keep things smooth, but what Obama and his foreign policy team have really done is empower the Chinese to be even more aggressive.

As for Europe, the influx of millions of Muslim migrants is a self-inflicted wound, although the Obama administration’s rabid support for revolution throughout the Middle East (under the guise of “Arab Spring”) mainly contributed to that influx.

And so on.

Trump’s foreign policy team, at first blush, may indeed be more more forceful and insistent when it comes to developing and advancing U.S. interests abroad. But that’s what great powers do. And other great powers tend to respect strength; they don’t respect weakness, they take advantage of it.

There’s “volatility” in the world today and it’s no doubt higher than at any time since the last great power war. But that’s not Trump’s fault, nor is there any indication he will exacerbate it.

The ruling is a victory for civil liberties advocates, but a major blow against mass surveillance. Retention of our digital histories is a very intrusive form of surveillance which needs safeguarding. The 15 judges on the European court’s panel acknowledged that modern investigative techniques were necessary to fight against organized crime and terrorism efforts, but couldn’t justify general and indiscriminate retention of all traffic and location data.

It is still acceptable, however, for governments to perform targeted data retention. This pertains to cases involving serious crimes, but access to that data must be overseen by a judicial authority or independent administrative authority. Those who were targeted by surveillance will be notified upon completion of the investigation.

In December, 2014, two British members of parliament originated the case by challenging the legality of the UK government’s Data Retention, where telecommunications companies were forced to store their customers’ communication records for one year. The law was replaced with the Investigatory Powers Act, which was approved by British parliament.

Since the UK recently voted to leave the European Union, Wednesday’s significant ruling will likely be a headache for British government officials. The ruling will be forwarded to the UK’s Court of Appeal, so judges can determine how it will be applied in context with the national law. This might force the government to make changes to controversial sections of the Investigatory Powers Act, which gives police and spy agencies an abundance of access to civilian data.

This will mark the UK government’s first serious post-Brexit test to their commitment for protecting human rights and the rule of law. The people of the UK have voted to leave the EU, but not to give up their rights and freedoms. The government must now make significant changes to the Investigatory Powers Act in order to comply with the people’s personal privacy rights.

In a statement from the British government’s Home Office, a spokesperson said that “We are disappointed with the judgment from the European court of justice and will be considering its potential implications. The government will be putting forward robust arguments to the court of appeal about the strength of our existing regime for communications data retention and access.”

The UK’s appeal of the decision is likely be dragged out for a long time. If the appeal can outlast the completion of the Brexit process, the ruling will no longer matter. This should raise questions concerning politicians who are granting the government powers to inappropriately spy on citizens.

Kim Jong Un said North Korea is in the “last stage” of preparations to test-fire an inter-continental ballistic missile, refusing to slow his nuclear arms development as President-elect Donald Trump prepares to take office in Washington.

Kim made his remarks in a New Year televised address as he outlined his country’s military achievements for the past year, North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency said Sunday. North Korea has conducted three nuclear tests under Kim and launched a series of long-range rockets.

North Korea “will continue to strengthen its ability based on nuclear might to mount a preemptive attack,” Kim said during a half-hour speech that touched on a range of issues, including economic policy and relations with South Korea.

Since he took over the reigns of power in 2011, Kim has relentlessly pursued nuclear weapons, even to the detriment of improving his country’s economy. He has also poured scarce resources into improving other military facilities as well.

The U.S. has some 28,000 troops in South Korea.

North Korea possesses a large military but it is largely outdated and not much of a threat outside of inflicting heavy regional damage on South Korean infrastructure. Still, North Korean capability to deliver a nuclear weapon thousands of miles away is a direct threat to the countries within its reach.

And it’s a problem that the incoming Trump administration will have to deal with at some point.

“North Korea is showing its leverage ahead of future negotiations with the Trump administration,” Kim Tae-woo, who teaches military issues at South Korea’s Konyang University, told Bloomberg. “North Korea’s hope to be recognized as a nuclear power through some sort of big deal with the U.S. hasn’t lessened, and we may even be seeing Kim deploying ICBMs this year.”

Obama is trying to start World War III before Jan. 20

Paul Craig Roberts also has extremely important insight on what’s shaping up (he was part of the Reagan administration), and my own contacts inside the bureaucracy are signaling that Obama is “setting landmines across the bureaucracy” to function as sabotage trip wires that will blow up in President Trump’s face.

Barack Obama — who is quite literally a “sleeper cell” agent who has been trying to destroy America from day one — is now attempting to provoke Russia into military conflict. He has now begun expelling Russian diplomats from the USA as a cover story for the democrats’ completely fabricated “Russian hacking” conspiracy theory regarding the hacking of email accounts belonging to Jon Podesta and the DNC. (It was actually an inside job achieved by a Bernie Sanders supporter.)

Fortunately, it looks like Russia is mocking Obama for his incredible stupidity and not taking him seriously anymore. If cooler heads prevail in all this, Obama will be out of office in roughly 20 days, and a new President Trump will restore sane, stabilizing relations with Russia.

But until Jan. 20 comes, make no mistake that “traitor” Obama is trying to provoke Russia into an escalating conflict with the USA. This is deliberate, insane and deeply criminal. I’m already hearing whispers of desires to see Barack Obama arrested and charged with criminal acts of treason against the United States… yet it is doubtful that any such charges could really be leveled against a former President whose actions took place while he was in office (so don’t get your hopes up).

Nevertheless, it is increasingly apparent to an expanding number of people that Obama is an active traitor who has deliberately given aid to America’s enemies while destroying trust among America’s allies. (Just two words prove the assertion: 1) Iran. 2) Israel.)

Also today, the DrudgeReport.com website, which has remained a highly effective thorn in the side of the Obama regime, was taken offline for 90 minutes by a coordinated DDoS attack believed to have come from the U.S. government itself.

“A tweet from conservative media icon Matt Drudge’s verified Twitter account Thursday night appeared to accuse the government of interfering with his website, DrudgeReport.com, just hours after the Barack Obama administration announced new sanctions against Russia over election hacking,” reports IBtimes.com.

“Is the US government attacking DRUDGE REPORT? Biggest DDoS since site’s inception. VERY suspicious routing [and timing],” the tweet to Drudge’s 457,000 followers read.

Natural News warned it will be targeted for take down before President Trump is sworn in

A few weeks ago, InfoWars.com personnel received a threat that claimed their site would be taken down in a government censorship purge. Now, that same threat has been made to Natural News via channels I’m not yet ready to make public.

The threat asserts that many of the websites falsely labeled “Russian propaganda” by the fraudulent Washington Post story have been targeted for government take down action before President Obama leaves office — all while Obama signs hundreds of pardons to protect the criminals associated with the DNC and the Clinton crime family.

Right now, sites such as DrudgeReport.com and RT are being “probed” in what are called  “DDoS stress tests” to determine the level of DDoS traffic needed to bring down each site. This result is calculated into the “full assault plan” which will distribute government cyber attack resources across all the targeted sites in the most efficient manner, dedicating only the amount of DDoS traffic needed to bring down each site. This tactic, by the way, is something I’ve heard called “DDDoS” or “distributed-distributed denial-of-service” attack. It’s conducted at a scale that can only be achieved by nation states such as China, North Korea or the USA. In this case, it’s the USA, under Barack Obama, that would be engaging in cyber war against the independent media.

In effect, we may be looking at a situation where Barack Obama uses the full resources of the corrupt sectors of his regime to wage cyber warfare against independent journalism in order to halt the only remaining free press from warning Americans about what Obama is actually doing.

Those of you reading this from inside the FBI, CIA, DHS and NSA know exactly what I’m talking about. If you’re on the side of America, I send you prayers for your strength and courage in protecting America for the next 20 days or so, after which things will significantly calm down.

If all goes well and the patriots inside the bureaucracy succeed in their mission, you will never know anything happened at all. There will be no take down of independent media websites, no war with Russia and no successful coup on Jan. 20. That is our desired outcome. We seek a peaceful transition of power to the Trump administration, where highly experienced and patriotic cabinet members will begin the arduous process of unwinding the Obama poison pills, time bombs and trip wires he has planted “across the bureaucracy.”

But make no mistake: Obama is an active, conscious traitor to America, and he’s not going to go away without sabotaging everything in sight on his way out. His targets absolutely include free speech websites that refused to surrender to his anti-American rhetoric and subversive actions. All legitimate free press publications in America — and their editors — are now at extreme risk for the next 20 days.

Now, it seems, a lengthy and comprehensive forensic investigation has concluded that, indeed, the copy produced by the Obama administration that is said to be an original is instead a forgery.

As reported by WorldNetDaily, which has long tracked and reported on the issue of Obama’s birth certificate, a just-completed, years-long investigation ordered by Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio—himself and his department a target of Obama’s Justice Department—confirms that those who were subjected to the derogatory “birther” label were right all along, at least regarding the document used to establish Obama’s eligibility to be president.

At issue is the U.S. Constitution’s requirement that presidents be a “natural born citizen,” while not actually defining the term. But as WND noted, scholarly works written by the founding fathers defined it as being a U.S. citizen at birth, born in the United States to two citizens of the country, or merely the offspring of two citizens.

Okay, it was faked…now what?

The birth certificate that Obama displayed on the White House website as “proof positive” he is eligible to be president says he was born in Hawaii to an American mother and Kenyan father. But either way, the Arpaio-ordered investigation has concluded that birth certificate to be “not authentic.”

Jerome Corsi, Ph.D., WND senior staff writer and author of “Where’s the Birth Certificate?” praised the findings.

He said Mike Zullo, head of the Cold Case Posse, and Arpaio “have done the United States a heroic service demonstrating by forensic analysis that the long form birth certificate produced in a White House news conference on April 27, 2011, as Barack Obama’s authentic birth certificate is a forgery.”

So now what?

Corsi says that because the document produced is a fake, as demonstrated by a legitimate law enforcement forensic investigation, that also could mean that Obama’s entire presidency was illegitimate—meaning every action taken (bills signed, executive orders issued, policies made) were also illegitimate, as in null and void.

“Impeachment procedures may be required,” he said, “even if those procedures are conducted after Obama leaves office.”

The real challenge, however, is getting anyone in authority—like Congress or the Trump administration—to examine the findings, verify the study’s conclusions, and then take action.

That shouldn’t be difficult, given that a number of legitimate experts were involved in the multi-year investigation.

The IFCN has drafted a code of five principles for news websites to accept. Facebook recently announced that it will work with third-party fact-checking organizations, who are signatories to the code of principles.

Stories on Facebook that have been determined to be fake by the fact-checking organizations will be flagged and disputed. There will be a link to the corresponding article explaining why, and disputed stories will rank significantly lower in the Facebook News Feed.

The INFC is hosted by the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. A cursory search of the institute revealed that the IFCN is openly funded by George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google, and the National Endowment for Democracy. It’s sad to note that the left-wing is solely in charge of disputing news stories. The mainstream media are just as guilty of being vilified news outlets when it comes to misconstruing things, but now all their news will be real, and all opposing views will be flagged. The fact checking organizations are basically granting the left-wing the ability to produce all the fake news they wish.

Poynter has hosted controversial journalism programs before, including one that got accused of downplaying the threat of global Islamic terror. FoxNews.com reported that the course suggested that reporters should keep the death tolls from Islamic terror in context by comparing the death tolls to those killed annually by malaria, HIV/AIDS, and other factors. The course went on to teach reporters that the term “Jihad” means internal struggle, and discussed “right-wing activists” as people who attempt to link American Muslims to terror.

It’s clear how big of an impact the INFC will have on those who get their news from social media platforms, like Facebook. The course goes on to provide a good-journalism tip to reporters, suggesting that they check if an interviewee has a bias or stake in the material being covered, but only goes on to cite examples of anti-Muslim groups.

It’s hard to believe that the left-wing is winning the war on news control. The American people continue to embrace the companies and technologies that are destroying us, ultimately destroying themselves.

As noted by the Asia Times, the People’s Liberation Army, Navy and Air Force all saw important upgrades in technology and capability during 2016, including the recent launch of the country’s first aircraft carrier.

The Asia Times noted further:

As 2016 drew to a close, China flexed its military muscle with the high-profile dispatch of its lone aircraft carrier, the Liaoning, to an area of the western Pacific in a carrier battle group formation. Seven warships accompanied the carrier – three destroyers, three frigates and a supply ship.

Contrary to many western China analysts’ who said the Chinese carrier would take many years to deploy, Chinese state media trumpeted naval drills as a sign the the carrier will ready for combat operation sooner than expected.

“Compared with other countries, China has progressed ahead of expectations,” Zhang Junshe, a senior researcher at the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Naval Military Studies Research Institute, told state-run media, adding “other countries’ aircraft carriers normally spent five to six years or even 10 years to gain combat capability.”

In addition, the web site said, Chinese military doctrine has changed, at least in the naval realm, to one of force power projection globally, countering U.S. and Russian capabilities.

A review of military developments in China and throughout the world over past year provides a clear picture of China’s military priorities, both conventional and strategic nuclear.

As the year ended, China conducted a flight test of a new missile known as the Dong Ning-3 that the Pentagon believes is a missile designed to hit US satellites in space in a crippling attack in the early phases of a conflict that would limit American military forces from navigating forces, pinpointing targets and gathering intelligence.

For Pentagon intelligence analysts tasked with monitoring Chinese weapons development 2016 was also a year in which PLA began deploying multiple warhead weapons. China’s most potent intercontinental ballistic missile, the new DF-41 was flight tested in December 2015 and confirmed by the Chinese Defense Ministry as a normal “scientific test.”

But there is nothing normal about a strategic missile armed with multiple warheads that represent a quantum increase in strategic nuclear lethality. Most of China’s nuclear force until recently were designed to deliver a single large warhead over thousands of miles.

In February, US intelligence had detected what was described in classified reports as the uploading of additional warheads on older, single-warhead DF-5 missiles.

Between the new DF-41, still under development, and the increased warheads on the DF-5, strategic war planners are now beginning to re-calculate the warhead size and mix for the US nuclear arsenal to be better prepared to deter the expanding Chinese nuclear force.

U.S. military planners and strategic thinkers in the Pentagon have long sought to counter growing Chinese military capabilities, as Beijing has become a rising force in Asia and, now, globally.
